COLTS HISTORY The Colts were originally located in Baltimore
and owned by Caroll Rosenblum. Rosenblum was a master at selecting coaches and
gave starts to all of fame coach Weeb Ewbank as well as Don Shula, the second
winningest coach in the NFL history. Led by the great Johnny unitas at quarterback,
the Colts defeated the New York Giants 23-17 in overtime for the 1958 NFL title,
and a game usually considered the greatest of all-time. The Colts were also the
victims of the greatest upset and pro football history - there's 16-7 loss to
the New York Jets in Super Bowl 3. In 1972 Rosenblum traded the Colts to Robert
Irsay in exchange for the Los Angeles Rams. In 1984 Irsay moved to club to Indianapolis.
